The OSMT study package for the MLA/T Exam is available from the OSMT office for approved exam applicants.
This package is considered an OSMT approved review/refresher course.
Please note, courses and packages are generally available about two months prior to the exam date only.

Everest College (formerly CDI)	Part-time course designed to assist candidates in preparing for the OSMT Certification Exam for MLA/Ts. Offered twice a year. Toronto Saturday April 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, 26 with Saturday May 19 off due to Victoria Day. Class times 9:00 to 3:00 cost is $300.00 must be paid in full. Students must have sin card, photo ID and letter from OSMT confirming students registration for June 16 exams. Mohawk College	This course is intended for MLA/Ts who have previously gone through a training program or were previously certified and would like to refresh their knowledge. Topics include: reagent & solution preparation, laboratory safety & equipment, and discipline specific areas in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and histology/cytology. Starts April 9, 2008. Robetech Institute Inc.	Non-Robetech Graduates are now welcome to register for our 4 week intensive OSMT Review Course. This includes study manual, lectures, handouts and practical training in our fully equipped diagnostic laboratory. Certificate will be issued upon completion of this course. Tuesday & Thursday 6:00pm-9:00pm Saturdays 9:00am-3:00pm Course fees include all course material & laboratory fees. Refresher Course for Re-write applicants: This program is designed to provide the student with further training in both the theoretical of laboratory technology and the practical diagnostic procedures and techniques in order to confidently re-write the OSMT MLA/T Certification Examination. The program is offered on a flexible schedule full-time or part-time with a duration of 6 to 12 weeks. The Refresher Program covers all of the various departments of the laboratory: Haematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Serology, as well as practicing phlebotomy and electrocardiograms. Fees include all study material, textbooks, hand-outs, laboratory fees. Fees vary depending on the student's individual prior learning assessment and range from $1,700 - $3,400. All fees are tax deductible. Pre-Requisite: Graduate of a MLA/T diploma program accredited by OSMT. It is assumed that graduates of a MLA/T program have the basic knowledge and skills of a medical laboratory assistant/technician as this is a comprehensive refresher program, not a MLA/T diploma course. The instructor may advise the student to attend one or more modules to ensure their success in the program. A "Certification of Completion" will be issued upon completion.
