To give medical technologists an overview of Bacterial Vaginosis which includes:
- Epidemiology
- Pathophysiology
- Clinical manifestations
- Diagnosis and treatments
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course, participants will be able
to:
- Identify bacterial vaginosis by gram stain
- Recognize some of its characteristics and be able to diagnose it through
various criteria
- Understand the ecology of microbial flora in the vagina
- Know the complications associated with bacterial vaginosis and its treatment
